babytime.
Oh wow. Yep, Jena and I are expecting! We went in for another ultrasound yesterday and the baby was kicking, moving all around, jumping up and down, waving its arms - really , really animated... We heard the heartbeat... amazing.
Jena is 12 weeks pregnant, and the due date is June 13. We have decided NOT to find out the gender, we want it to be a natural discovery, the way it has been for millions of couples for thousands of years... Living in the modern age has taught me that just because you CAN, doesn’t always mean you SHOULD.
We are planning to go to Bozeman, MT in May to have the baby, to let the baby acclimate in a comforting and beautiful environment... sleeping outdoors, hiking, sitting up at Haylite Lake, basically just giving the baby, and Jena, a delicate entrance into this new world and experience.
We are excited and hope you are all a part of this new adventure!

Clayton Patterson "Captured" World Premier
Clayton Patterson, NY art world luminary, Lower East Side documentarian and activist is the subject of a new documentary by Ben Solomon and Dan Levin. We went to the world premier last night on the roof of the LES Design School. A.R.E. Weapons did the soundtrack so they performed before the screening. Clayton was there, not taking pictures, for once... John Joseph from the Cro Mags spoke. They have a skatepark on the roof, so we sat on top of the ramp and picnicked. good times.

coney island summertime polaroid trip
So, maybe 3 years ago I went to Coney Island for 4th of July... It was hot, sticky, sweaty, drunky and fun as hell. We watched the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, drank all day with some Puerto Rican thug dykes at the Cha Cha, and ate so much we all thought we were gonna puke. Epic.

And if you're down with old reefer smoking sea dogs, they're around too.
It's almost weird how stoked on this piña colada I am.
But it's NOT weird how stoked on the chili cheese dogs I was. ('dogs" = plural)
Will the REAL Strawberry Shortcake please stand up? I was stoked she made an appearance, I thought she was only a myth like unicorns and france.
But it is real, and we had a blast. See you there this summer, bros.
